Prayer Focus: July 14

Scripture: “The most important [commandment],” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’  There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:29-31

Prayer Focus: As we consider what is means to take the whole gospel to the whole person ask the Holy Spirit to guide your thoughts on what it means to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. This “allness” can only be given if the Holy Spirit fills us up with the love that only He can provide for our Lord. Let us pray that the Holy Spirit would come to us in a fresh, whole way so that we as a church may love our Lord wholly and lead others to do the same.

Ministry Groups

Every Person: Pray that people will be inspired to realize that the ideas presented are very DO-ABLE and that as they take them home they will DO them and not just be personally inspired.

Every Church: To be in tune with God’s direction and to clearly voice God’s voice. Pray against pride and mere “good ideas.” Let our actions bring about a tangible difference in the Kingdom of God.

Every Means: As we develop tools of assessment, keep us from being trapped in the world’s methods of measurement and standards for success.

Every Place: Pray that we would focus on what’s IMPORTANT, talking about the right things, then deciding on appropriate practical actions to meet our goal to reach the far and different, urban and different, near and different.
